In the heart of downtown Cairo, Tahrir Square is located. It was originally named Ismailia Square under the reign of khedive Ismail but after the 1919 revolution, the square was widely known as Tahrir (meaning Liberation) square to be given that name officially after the 1952 revolution by which Egypt changed into a republic. To continue this series of revolutions, the square was the focal point of the 2011 revolution with over 50000 protesters occupied the square revolting against former president Hosni Mubarak. The square became a symbol for the Egyptian democracy demonstrations with the image and name of Tahrir Square became known worldwide.

Itinerary
09:00 a.m. Tour Egypt Travel representative and our Egyptologist tour guide will meet and greet you at your hotel lobby.
09:30 a.m. Make the first visit in the great pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus then visit the panorama view and Sphinx. Tour time is 2 hours
11:30 a.m. Off to the Egyptian museum
12:15 p.m. Start the Egyptian museum tour. Tour time 2 hours
14:15 p.m. Move to Tahrir Square. Our guide will explain what happened during the 25th of January. Tour time is 45 minutes
15:00 p.m. Off to your hotel in Cairo/Giza.
