ROCOTUYOC GLACIER LAKE - HUSCARAN NATIONAL PARK

This marvelous and wonderful lake Rocotuyoc is located in the white mountain range and Huascaran National Park, to complete this tour starts in Huaraz at First Class Huaraz office, and going to north side highway for about 40km, in the way there are several typical villages featuring Andes villages in the skirts of the white mountains, when the weather allows the Peruvian high mountain can be seen from the road and passengers make photo stop. Arriving to small district of Marcara minibus turns into the little picturesque valley of Vicos, in they way is the control and entrance for this community where one can purchase community entrance tickets, after that the first impression you will take is the wonderful cascade; photo stop for about half hour and continue into the valley in the way almost to arrive to the lake visit and appreciate the petroglyphic pains, then arrive to the Lake and start your adventure shooting and continue hiking along the lake to next one for about 30 minutes, get to the second lake where you will experience the color lake with small icebergs, stay here in the lakes by your own to enjoy and back the same way to the car, early afternoon back the same way to Marcara for Lunch, after return to Huaraz arriving around 6pm in the afternoon and drop-off at our office downtown Huaraz.
