Wuhou Shrine in Chengdu is located at No. 231 Wuhou Shrine Street, Chengdu. It is the only ancestral temple in China that jointly enshrines emperors and ministers, commemorating Shu Han heroes such as Liu Bei, Zhuge Liang, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei. It is also the most influential museum of the Three Kingdoms relics in the world.
Wuhou Shrine in Chengdu was first built in 223 AD, initially to commemorate Zhuge Liang. During the Southern and Northern Dynasties, it was moved from the "Shaocheng" (Small City) of Chengdu to the vicinity of Huiling Mausoleum and Han Zhaolie Temple. In the early years of the Ming Dynasty, during its reconstruction, Wuhou Shrine was merged into Han Zhaolie Temple, forming a combined temple for emperors and ministers. The main buildings existing today were rebuilt on the original site in the 11th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty.
