Your tour representative will meet you at Cairo airport and help with check-in before transferring you to your hotel. Once there, your guide gives you a briefing about what's coming up on the tour. You'll settle in for your first night in Cairo.
After breakfast, head out to the Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. From there, travel to Saqqara to check out the Step Pyramid and walk through ancient Pharaonic tombs. Later in the evening, board an air-conditioned bus for an overnight journey to Aswan.
You'll arrive in Aswan and transfer to your hotel. Next is a trip to Philae Temple on an island reached by traditional small motorboat. The boat ride itself offers nice views as you approach this riverside temple, and you'll have time to explore the ancient structures. Spend the night at your hotel in Aswan.
After breakfast, board a traditional Nile felucca sailing boat for the day. You'll drift down the river watching rural life along the banks and seeing how the landscape changes. Meals come served on board, and you'll sleep overnight on the felucca.
After breakfast, an air-conditioned bus heads toward Luxor with a stop at Kom Ombo Temple, which has distinctive twin entrances overlooking the Nile. Once in Luxor, walk through the East Bank starting with the Karnak Temple complex, then check out Luxor Temple and its famous Avenue of Sphinxes. You'll stay at your hotel in Luxor for the night.
After breakfast, explore the West Bank of Luxor starting with the Valley of the Kings. Then visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, built for Egypt's only female pharaoh, and the Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon, transfer by bus to Hurghada on the Red Sea coast and settle into your hotel for the night.
This day is yours to spend however you like in Hurghada. Swim, snorkel, scuba dive, or just relax on the beach and soak up the sun. The area has plenty of restaurants and cafes, or you can stay at your hotel if you prefer.
You'll depart early in the morning and travel back to Cairo by air-conditioned bus. Once there, visit the Grand Egyptian Museum to see the treasures from King Tutankhamun's tomb. Then walk through Khan El Khalili bazaar in old Cairo, a maze of narrow alleyways with souvenir shops, crafts, and traditional coffee houses. Spend the night at your hotel in Cairo.
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport for your flight home. You'll leave with memories of your Egyptian adventure.
