It is one of the most popular destination for adventure enthusiasts, situated 32 km east of Kathmandu at an elevation about 1950 meter above the sea level. The day trip begins with scenic drive from Tridevi Marga, Drive from Thamel to Sankhu (trekking starting point). Sankhu village is a famous pilgrims site of the Kathmandu valley with Temple of Bajrajogini, the Tantric Goddess which it was built on about 17th century.
