Itinerary

Day 1

Your tour begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Selçuk, where you will meet your professional English-speaking guide. After a short drive, arrive at the magnificent Ancient City of Ephesus, once the capital of Roman Asia and one of the greatest cities of the ancient world.

As you explore the remarkably preserved ruins, your guide will explain the fascinating history and daily life of this prosperous port city. Walk along the marble-paved Curetes Street, admire the magnificent Library of Celsus, one of the most photographed landmarks in Türkiye, and visit the impressive Great Theatre, where more than 25,000 spectators once gathered for performances and public meetings.

Continue your exploration through the ancient Agora, Roman Baths, Temple of Hadrian, Fountain of Trajan, and other significant monuments that reveal the city's remarkable architectural achievements.

The tour then continues to the nearby Temple of Artemis (Artemision), once recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Although only a few remains survive today, your guide will explain the temple's historical importance and its influence on the ancient Greek and Roman world.

During the tour, you will also learn about the strong Christian heritage of Ephesus, including the traditions surrounding St. John, the House of the Virgin Mary, and the city's importance as one of the earliest centers of Christianity.

After enjoying free time for photographs and exploring the surroundings, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Selçuk.

We hope your visit to Ephesus becomes one of the highlights of your journey through Türkiye, and we look forward to welcoming you again on another TravelShopBooking experience. Have a safe trip and thank you for choosing TravelShopBooking.
