Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Egypt! Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met and assisted by our representative. Transfer by private, air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Cairo.

After check-in, meet your tour guide for a short briefing about the upcoming itinerary and sightseeing schedule.

Day 2

After breakfast, meet your private English-speaking Egyptologist guide and begin your full-day Cairo sightseeing tour.

Start at the Giza Plateau, home to the legendary Great Pyramids of Giza. Admire the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre and the Pyramid of Menkaure. Continue to the magnificent Great Sphinx, one of Egypt's most recognizable monuments, and visit the nearby Valley Temple.

Enjoy lunch at a local Egyptian restaurant before continuing to the Egyptian Museum, where you can discover an extraordinary collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts and pharaonic treasures.

In the afternoon, visit the historic Citadel of Saladin and the impressive Mosque of Mohamed Ali, famous for its Ottoman-style architecture and panoramic views over Cairo.

Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, check out from your Cairo hotel and transfer to Cairo Airport for your domestic flight to Aswan.

Upon arrival in Aswan, meet your private Egyptologist guide and begin sightseeing.

Visit the Aswan High Dam, one of Egypt's most important modern engineering achievements. Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest known ancient obelisk quarry, which provides insight into the stone-working techniques of ancient Egypt.

Then board your 5-star Nile cruise and complete your check-in. Enjoy lunch on board before visiting the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated primarily to the goddess Isis and located on an island in the Nile.

Return to the cruise ship and enjoy an evening on board.

Optional: Enjoy a traditional felucca sailing experience or visit a Nubian village and Kitchener's Island, subject to availability and additional cost.

Day 4

Enjoy breakfast on board while cruising along the Nile toward Luxor.

Visit the remarkable Kom Ombo Temple, a unique double temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon-headed god Horus. The temple offers fascinating views of the Nile and showcases the religious traditions of the Ptolemaic period.

Continue sailing toward Edfu and visit the remarkably preserved Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved ancient Egyptian temples.

Return to your Nile cruise and continue sailing toward Luxor.

Enjoy dinner on board while taking in the scenery along the Nile.

Day 5

After breakfast, continue your Nile cruise toward Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes and one of Egypt's most important archaeological destinations.

Upon arrival, explore the magnificent Karnak Temple Complex, one of the largest religious complexes ever constructed. Discover its monumental columns, temples, courtyards and ancient sanctuaries dedicated to the gods of ancient Egypt.

Continue to Luxor Temple, an impressive monument built primarily during the New Kingdom and later expanded by several Egyptian rulers.

Return to your Nile cruise for your final night on board in Luxor.

Day 6

Early in the morning, you may choose to join an optional hot air balloon flight over Luxor. Enjoy spectacular sunrise views over the Nile Valley, West Bank and ancient monuments.

After breakfast on board, check out from the Nile cruise and begin your Luxor West Bank tour.

Visit the famous Valley of the Kings, the ancient necropolis where many powerful pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried. Continue to the Valley of the Queens, the burial site of royal wives and members of the royal family.

Next, explore the spectacular Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, dramatically built against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari.

On the way back, stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two enormous stone statues that once stood in front of the mortuary temple of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.

After sightseeing, transfer to Luxor International Airport for your domestic flight back to Cairo.

Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, your 6-day Egypt tour comes to an end.
