Morning – Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi Tunnels

Your adventure begins with pick-up from selected hotels and streets in central Ho Chi Minh City or from the designated meeting point.

Meet your guide and travel toward the Cu Chi Tunnels, approximately 1.5 hours from central Ho Chi Minh City depending on traffic.

Cu Chi Tunnels

Upon arrival, begin with an introductory video explaining the construction of the tunnel system and how local people adapted to extremely difficult wartime conditions.

Continue with your guide to explore the historical Cu Chi site.

Learn about the complex underground network, which incorporated areas designed for different purposes, including:

• Living and sleeping areas

• Underground kitchens

• Meeting and command areas

• Field hospitals

• Weapons-production areas

• Storage facilities

• Concealed entrances and exits

• Defensive structures and historical traps

Your guide will explain how the tunnel network functioned and how people managed daily life underground.

Where permitted, visitors may have an opportunity to enter and crawl through a section of the tunnels. Participation is optional and may not be suitable for guests who experience claustrophobia or have mobility limitations.

Cassava & Tea Experience

After exploring the historical site, take a short break and taste boiled cassava with tea, a simple food associated with those who lived and operated around the tunnels during wartime.

Lunch at a Local Restaurant

Continue to a local restaurant and enjoy an included lunch before departing for the Mekong Delta.

Afternoon – My Tho & Mekong Delta

Continue south toward My Tho, one of the main gateways to Vietnam’s Mekong Delta.

The landscape gradually changes from urban surroundings to rice fields, orchards, waterways, villages, and tropical vegetation.

Tien River Boat Trip

Upon arrival, board a boat and begin your journey along the Tien River.

Enjoy the river breeze and views toward the islands traditionally known as:

Dragon Island – Unicorn Island – Phoenix Island – Tortoise Island

Observe local river life, fishing activities, boats, orchards, and communities along the waterways.

Traditional Sampan Ride

Transfer to a smaller traditional sampan and travel through narrow waterways surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and coconut palms.

The peaceful journey offers a closer look at everyday life in the Mekong Delta and is one of the highlights of the experience.

Village & Cycling Experience

Explore the local countryside and, where included and operational, enjoy a short bicycle ride through the village.

Cycle along quiet paths surrounded by gardens and rural scenery while observing local life.

Guests who prefer not to cycle can normally relax or follow an alternative arrangement according to the guide’s instructions.

Coconut Candy Workshop

Visit a local coconut candy workshop and discover how one of the Mekong Delta’s popular specialties is traditionally produced.

Observe the preparation process and have an opportunity to sample locally made coconut products.

Tropical Fruits & Honey Tea

Continue your cultural experience with seasonal tropical fruits and honey tea.

Learn about some of the fruits and agricultural products grown throughout the fertile Mekong Delta.

Southern Vietnamese Folk Music

Relax while listening to a performance of traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music presented by local performers.

Return to Ho Chi Minh City

After completing your Mekong Delta activities, board your transportation for the journey back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Drop-off will be provided at designated locations according to the tour’s transfer policy, marking the end of your full-day Cu Chi and Mekong Delta experience.
