Itinerary

Day 1

Begin your day with a 09:00 AM pick-up from your hotel and set out to explore some of Istanbul’s most charming and lesser-known neighborhoods along the Bosphorus and Golden Horn.

Your tour starts with a visit to the historic Balat and Fener districts, once the center of Greek Orthodox life during the Ottoman Empire. Wander through colorful streets filled with historic houses, churches, synagogues, and cafés, and experience the unique multicultural heritage of this fascinating area.

Continue with a panoramic drive along the scenic Bosphorus coastline, passing through some of Istanbul’s most elegant and picturesque neighborhoods, including Ortaköy, Arnavutköy, Bebek, İstinye, Tarabya, Sarıyer, Garipçe, and Rumeli Feneri.

Stop at Ortaköy, one of Istanbul’s most vibrant and stylish squares, popular with locals and visitors alike. Surrounded by cafés, restaurants, and shops, Ortaköy offers beautiful Bosphorus views and a lively atmosphere, especially on weekends.

Next, visit Tarabya, a charming seaside neighborhood in Sarıyer, often featured in classic Turkish films. Known for its historic hotels, famous seafood restaurants, and elegant waterfront, Tarabya is also home to significant landmarks, including the Presidential Residence.

Continue to the peaceful fishing village of Garipçe, located near the Rumeli Lighthouse at the northern end of the Bosphorus. With its quiet streets, traditional village life, and scenic seaside setting, Garipçe offers a refreshing escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. The village is known for its calm atmosphere, fishing boats, local markets, and authentic restaurants serving fresh seafood and traditional breakfasts. Its conservative character is reflected in local customs, including modest dress expectations near the beach.

After exploring Garipçe and enjoying the serene coastal environment, the tour concludes with a transfer back to your hotel.

This tour offers a perfect blend of history, culture, scenic beauty, and local life—an ideal way to experience a different side of Istanbul with TravelShop Booking.
