Day 1

Hotel Pick-up in Tbilisi

Your private guide will meet you at your hotel in Tbilisi at 08:30 AM and begin the journey toward the scenic landscapes of the Lower Kartli region.

Kojori & Azeula Fortress

The first stop is the village of Kojori, located in the mountains just outside Tbilisi.

Here you will visit Azeula Fortress, which offers spectacular 360-degree panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and mountain ranges. This is a perfect spot for photography and scenic viewpoints.

Samshvilde Canyon & Fortress

Continue to the historic Samshvilde archaeological site, located in the Khrami River gorge within Tetritskaro Municipality.

Samshvilde was once an important fortified settlement, protected by the deep canyon surrounding it. During your visit you will see:

Located on the Dashbashi volcanic plateau, the canyon lies at elevations between 1,110 and 1,448 meters above sea level and is known for its unique biodiversity and dramatic landscapes.

Visitors can explore a 1.8 km hiking trail starting from the visitor center and descending into the canyon valley near the waterfall. The round trip takes approximately one hour.
