Itinerary

Day 1

Pick up from your hotel at 07:30 am and departure from Bodrum for Patmos. They also call it the Holy Island or the Jerusalem of the Aegean because Patmos is one of the most important pilgrimages after the Ephesus Virgin Mary house for Christians. Beaches in Patmos about 5 km from GRIKOS Bay scale, Grikos Bay is a quiet seaside town. SKALA is the center and most lively place of Patmos island, SKALA, which is actually composed of beaches, hotels and restaurants. The Patmos ferries are approaching here. Anyway, Skala means port in Greek. This is a small holiday resort, such as a bazaar, souvenir shops and a few other markets have cafes and restaurants. Chora Cora is a historic village located 3km above Patmos by car from Central Skala town. Saint John's Monastery, which rises magnificently on top of Cora, is the most important historical structure of the island. The monastery, built in 1088, has been active for more than 900 years and as an Orthodox monastery, has been hosting the Great Easter celebrations. APOKALIPTIK cave descending from Chora to Skala, about 1 km later, there is this cave, one of the most important places to see on Patmos island. The Apocalypse Cave, a dark and mystical air, is a woman of St. John's. The cave is believed to have written The New Testament section of the Bible in 95. In fact, this is the main reason why the island became an important pilgrimage center. After tour transfer back to Bodrum.
