Itinerary

Day 1

We will pick you up from your hotel and start your city tour. Bilecik Museum, originally constructed as a courthouse, on the land where a demolished Ottoman building once stood, this large and impressive structure was restored and opened as a museum in 2006. It exhibits both archaeological and ethnographic items in chronological order. Shaykh Edebali Tomb, which was attributed to Sheikh Edebali, who was considered by many to be the philosophic architect of the Ottoman Empire, was built during the time of Orhan Gazi. It has a panoramic view on the cliffs. Orhan Ghazi Mosque, built on the edge of a steep cliff, has the capacity to hold 365 worshipers at the same time. Believed to be built in the early 14th century and only 50 meters from the Edebali Mausoleum, Orhan Ghazi Mosque was restored in 1973. Unlike other mosques, where the minarets are traditionally adjacent to the mosque, the main minaret of Orhan Ghazi Mosque is built on a rock, 30 meters away from the main building. The Clock Tower is located at the center of Bilecik province over a hill dominant to the city. The Watch Tower is four-sided, with one clock on each side and was constructed by Sultan Abdulhamit II. Pelitozu Pond, which is covered with pine trees, is 7 kilometers away from the city center. The pond, which has an area of 213.50 hectares, was created for irrigation purposes. It attracts great attention especially on weekends due to its ease of transportation and wide area. You can set up a tent and barbecue around the lake. There are also tea gardens and pancake houses. You can also rent bicycles for touring around the lake and you can travel by sea bikes in the lake. After tour we drop you back to your hotel. We hope your tour was a memorable one and we look forward to seeing you in the future on another TravelShop Booking Tour again. Have a safe trip back home and thanks for choosing us.
