With your packed lunches hike past steep slopes towards the Shipton’s Camp. You will pass through Likii and Mackinder’s Valley.

You will view giant groundsels along this route and breathtaking scenery. The hike this day takes between 6 to 8 hours and it is 17 km.

Check in at Shipton’s Camp. From here you can easily view the 3 highest peaks of Batian, Nelion & Lenana.

Temperatures here can reach minus 10 degrees Celcius. Overnight at the Shipton’s Camp ( 4,200 metres). Full board

Breakfast. Take the 6 hours acclimatization Hike around the Western side of the Peaks to view different landscapes passing

through Hausburg col. ( 4,600 metres and then proceed down past the Oblong (4,350 metres,

Two tarn lakes ( 4,400 metres) then down the Teleki Valley to arrive at the Mackinder’s Camp

( 4,200 metres for lunch dinner and overnight. Full board

Breakfast. Take the 3 hours Hike through the Alpine Moorland and them up the loose scree and then proceed

to the Austrian Hut ( 4,790 metres and arrive in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing and acclimatizing

around here with spectacular views around here. Dinner and overnight at the at the Austrian Hut. Full board

Wake up at 4 a.m. and have some tea,coffee and biscuits and depart for Point Lenana (4985 metres); the 3rd highest peak on Mount Kenya by sunrise.

Enjoy the breathtaking views and take some photos. After the view from the summit as far as Mount Kilimanjaro on the South,

return to the Austrian Hut. Lunch, dinner and overnight at the Austrian Hut. Full board

Commence the 5 am trek through Lewis Glacier up to the Base of Nelion to start undertaking the Technical Climb to the Nelion Point (5188 metres).

Traverse the gate of mist and continue the climb to Batian Peak (5,199 metres); the second highest peak in Africa. Climb back through Nelion

and overnight at the Austrian Hut. Full board

Breakfast at the Austrian Hut. Descend through the Chogoria Route and onto the Mintos Camp; the view point for the Gorge.

Continue the descent using the Chogoria Route through Bamboo and indigenous forests to catch your transfer

vehicle to Nairobi via Chogoria Town to arrive in the evening and are transferred to the Jomo Kenyatta Airport,
