Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi is a lively, bustling city that sits 1,870m above sea level. The centre is modern and prosperous, and services are well organized and efficient. Spend your first night in the capital. We'll engage you in a welcome dinner where we will give you a brief of your safari. You'll be picked up from JKIA by a company representative and transferred to your hotel, where you will be assisted to check in.

Day 2

After an early breakfast in Nairobi, travel south to Amboseli National Park, which sits against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is in the semi-arid part of the country, and the climate is usually hot and dry. It is fed by an endless underground water supply, filtered through thousands of meters of volcanic rock from Kilimanjaro's ice cap, which funnels into 2 clear-water springs at the heart of the park. Reach your safari camp in time for lunch.

Day 3

Enjoy both afternoon and early morning game drives during your stay at Amboseli. One of the most spectacular sights is the large herds of elephants. The Amboseli elephants have perhaps the oldest and most intact social structure of any elephant population in Africa.

Day 4

After breakfast, depart from Amboseli and head towards Naivasha. You will arrive at your hotel in time for lunch. Visit the Crescent Island game sanctuary where you can walk among zebra, giraffe, and antelope. The shores of Lake Naivasha host abundant birdlife, especially pelicans, cormorants, and fish eagles. Return before sunset for dinner and an overnight stay at your safari lodge in Naivasha.

Day 5

Continue your safari to the land of the Maasai - the Masai Mara. One unique, spectacular, and memorable sight is the annual migration of thousands of wildebeest, gazelle, and zebra that happens mid-year between July and September. Arrive at the camp in time for lunch, after which you will go for your first game drive in the afternoon. Keep an eye out for Africa's Big Five and sightings of a hunt. Head back to your safari camp before nightfall and enjoy dinner.

Day 6

Begin your day with an early breakfast and set out for the morning game drive. Admire the rolling hills, waving savannah grasses, and acacia trees. Immerse yourself in the Maasai way of life during a visit to a local village. The Masai Mara has a very high density of lions, with about 500 in over 1,500 square kilometres. Watch for possible Big Five hunt scenes during your game drives. Head back to the camp after the afternoon game drive and have dinner and an overnight stay on your last night in the Masai Mara.

Day 7

Have breakfast in the Mara and then proceed to Nairobi. Enjoy an included lunch with us at Cultiva Restaurant. Spend the afternoon shopping, and then you'll be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
