Arrive at Chandigarh & proceed to Shimla (90 kms – 3 hrs approx). Known as the Queen of Hill Stations, Shimla became the summer capital of the British Raj during the latter half of the 19th century when the soldiers of the British army, merchants and civil servants moved up here to get relief from the scorching heat of the plains. One of the most popular tourist destinations of India, Shimla is also the state capital of Himachal Pradesh. This hill station derives its name from "Goddess Shyamla", an avatar of Goddess Kali. Shimla still retains its colonial charm and ambience that is not found anywhere else in India. Shimla is one tourist destination that can be visited any time during the year. Summers are warm with cool and pleasant evenings while the winter temperatures can fall below zero and provide the perfect ambience for snuggling in front of a roaring fireplace. Arrive at Shimla and check in at the hotel. Evening free for relaxation / leisure or take a stroll along the split leveled Mall road of Shimla. Also enjoy a picturesque view of the sun set from the mall road. Overnight, stay at Shimla.
After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of the surrounding hills the of Shimla including Kufri, Chail, Naldera etc. Kufri is just 16 kms away and is quite famous for its prolonged ski slopes & Indira Holiday Home, the place where Shimla accord between India and Pakistan had taken place. Chail has beautiful scenery, superb climatic conditions & the highest cricket ground in the world. The Chail Palace of the Maharajas of Patiala is now converted into a hotel by H.P.T.D.C. After breakfast, check out of the hotel and depart for Manali (285 kms – 8 hrs approx), a prime tourist destination of Himachal Pradesh. Manali at a height of 6,398 ft, in the Beas River valley, is a popular hill station in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh. It is 40 kms away from Kulu to the north and situated near the end of the valley on the National Highway leading to Leh. The landscape here is breathtaking. One sees well defined snow capped peaks, the Beas river with its clear water meanders through the town. On the other side are deodar and pine trees, tiny fields and fruit orchards. Manali is famous as a Honeymoon Destination among Indian tourists while Western tourists visit Manali for adventure sports and leisure, nature trips in the Himalayas. A gateway to Spiti, lahaul, Kinnaur & Leh regions. Arrive and check in at the hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight stay at Manali
After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Rohtang Pass (also known as snow point) – situated at a height of 4111 mts above sea-level. Rohtang Pass is 51 kms away from Manali. It is one of the picturesque valleys of Himachal Pradesh. A gateway to Lahaul Valley, Rohtang Pass provides a wide panoramic view of mountains rising far above clouds which is a sight truly breath-taking. One of the beautiful and preferred treks in Himachal Pradesh, the Rohtang Pass offers skiing as well as trekking opportunities. Here, you can spend some of the most memorable moments of life. After a thrilling experience at Rohtang, start your journey back to Manali. Overnight, stay at Manali.
After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Manali which includes Hadimba Temple & Vashisth Kund which is perched on the steep hillside across the river Beas. Visit the hot Sulphur Springs, the Monastery and Club House where there are activities like house games and coin operated games (specially for children) etc. Return to hotel. Overnight, stay at Manali.
After breakfast Check out and transfer by road to Chandigarh (350 Kms – 10 hrs approx) Check in at the hotel in the evening and rest of the day free for relaxation after the long journey. Chandigarh is a rare epitome of modernization co-existing with nature’s preservation. Here, the trees, plants are as much as part of the construction as the buildings and roads. Overnight, stay at Chandigarh.
After Breakfast Check out & proceed for sightseeing tour of Chandigarh which includes visit to Rock Garden, Rose Garden & Sukhna lake. Later transfer to Chandigarh Airport / Railway Station to board your flight or train back to your home destination.
