Your journey begins at 11:00 p.m. in Quito, where you'll board a comfortable tourist bus bound for the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve. Relax overnight as you travel toward one of Ecuador's most extraordinary natural destinations, arriving refreshed and ready to begin your Amazon experience.

Arrive at Cuyabeno Bridge around 2:00 p.m., where you'll enjoy a welcome box lunch before boarding a motorized canoe. Cruise through the reserve's famous blackwater rivers, surrounded by lush rainforest and incredible wildlife.
During the 2–3 hour navigation, keep an eye out for monkeys, colorful birds, reptiles, and other fascinating Amazon species before arriving at Amazon Lodge.
After settling into your room, enjoy dinner followed by an introductory briefing from your naturalist guide about the reserve, wildlife, and the adventures ahead.

After breakfast, travel by canoe to the spectacular Laguna Grande, one of the reserve's most iconic ecosystems. Explore flooded forests, observe orchids, bromeliads, towering trees, and search for wildlife including macaws, toucans, monkeys, and countless bird species.
Following lunch at the lodge, return to the lagoon in the late afternoon for wildlife observation, an optional swim, and—weather permitting—a breathtaking Amazon sunset.
Dinner is served at the lodge, with the option to join a short night walk in search of frogs and nocturnal rainforest creatures.

Early risers may join an optional sunrise birdwatching excursion before breakfast.
Today's adventure continues to Puerto Bolívar, where you'll learn about the traditions of the Siona people and their close relationship with the rainforest.
Later, visit a nearby Cofán community to meet a local shaman, discover medicinal plants, and participate in the preparation of traditional cassava bread.
Return to Amazon Lodge for dinner and a farewell evening, with an optional nocturnal walk to observe the rainforest after dark.
