Breakfast at the Hotel and drive to Stepantsminda (Kazbegi region – Great Caucasus) along Georgian military highway via Jvari Pass (2395m above the sea level). On the way visit Ananuri Fortress. The Fortress on Georgian Military Highway was built in the 17th century representing the residence of “Aragvis Eristavi” (Dukes, rulers of the region) then. The complex unites two churches and observation tower. Continue to Kazbegi. Arrive to Stephantsminda have a Jeep tour to Gergety Trinity church. Gergetis is the only cross-domed church in the region (Khevi); it was built in the 14th century.
