After your breakfast, you will embark on a 2-hour drive to the Katuna Border Post and present your COVID –19 vaccination certificate or PCR results for those not vaccinated before you cross the border into Uganda and onward a further 3 hours to the Queen Elizabeth National Park.

On arrival you will check in, and have your lunch before going for an afternoon game drive.

Queen Elizabeth is famous for its high number of elephants and prides of lions. You can spot a plethora of wildlife during a game drive, ranging from small creatures to majestic hippos, and also enjoy fabulous bird watching opportunities.

In the evening, we will drive towards Kazinga Chanel for a sundowner boat safari.

Kazinga Chanel Boat Safari

Kazinga is located between Lakes Edward and George, making it an ideal destination for a boat safari. It boasts Africa's highest concentration of hippos, along with their friends, the crocodiles and water buffaloes, who can often be spotted in the area. The birding experience is also amazing, and it's not uncommon to witness elephants stopping by for a drink.

In the late afternoon, guests can head back to Enganzi Game Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay

After an early breakfast, we embark on a trek to find our closest living relatives in the nearby Kalinzu Forest Reserve. The rangers will provide a briefing before we begin the search for the Kalinzu chimpanzees, known for their reliable sightings with a trekking success rate of over 95%.

Uganda's efforts to conserve chimpanzees are widely recognized and supported, with the Jane Goodall Foundation playing a significant role in their overall conservation.

The trek is expected to conclude around 11 am. Afterward, we return to the lodge for lunch and a freshen up before embarking on a 5-hour transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at Bakiga Lodge.

After breakfast, we head to the Uganda Wildlife Authority Bwindi Park Headquarters for an early morning briefing at 8 am. The rangers will provide information on gorilla behavior, trekking, and rules before embarking on a trek into the Impenetrable Forest to search for these magnificent beasts.

The advanced tracking group provides an indication of the gorillas' last location, but they frequently move in search of food, making the trek last 2-6 hours. Once you encounter the gorillas, you'll feel an overwhelming sense of excitement as you spend an hour with the troop. This experience is often described as one of the greatest natural animal encounters on the planet.

Bwindi is home to almost 1/3 of the world's 1063 remaining mountain gorillas. After the trek, we begin the 4.5-hour journey back to Kigali and arrive at the Onomo Hotel around 5 pm. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kigali airport for your flight to your next destination.
