After breakfast, pick-up from your hotel for a full-day Byzantine to Ottoman: Istanbul’s Spiritual Legacy Tour.
Our journey begins at the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, a timeless symbol of Istanbul. Once a church, later an imperial mosque, and now a monument to both Islamic and Byzantine civilizations, its vast dome whispers the stories of emperors, caliphs, and sultans who shaped history here.
Across the historic square, the Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Mosque) rises with six slender minarets and an ocean of 20,000 İznik tiles, each tile a brushstroke of Ottoman devotion and architectural mastery.
High above the Golden Horn, we reach the Süleymaniye Mosque, designed by the great architect Mimar Sinan. This masterpiece of Ottoman architecture teaches us how sacred spaces can embody balance, harmony, and grandeur.
Our day concludes at the Museum of Turkish & Islamic Arts, where priceless Qurans, intricate calligraphy, and handwoven carpets reveal the artistry of Islamic culture across centuries.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul
Our morning begins at the Eyüp Sultan Mosque & Tomb, one of the holiest Islamic sites in Istanbul. This sacred place has been a center of spirituality since the Ottoman era, where countless pilgrims once gathered before embarking on their Hajj journey. Students will feel the atmosphere of history and faith that continues to live within its courtyards.
Next, we ride the Pierre Loti Hill Cable Car, gliding above the rooftops of the city for breathtaking views over the Golden Horn. At the summit, students can enjoy tea at the historic café where French novelist Pierre Loti once found inspiration.
The journey continues at Miniaturk Park, a fascinating open-air museum where miniature models of Ottoman mosques, palaces, and Islamic landmarks from across Turkey reveal the grandeur of centuries past in small scale.
In the afternoon, it’s time for fun and excitement at Isfanbul/Vialand Theme Park, where roller coasters, rides, and games provide the perfect balance of entertainment after days of cultural exploration.
After the tour, we will transfer you back to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul
We begin with a visit to either the Grand Bazaar or the Spice Bazaar, two of Istanbul’s most vibrant markets. Here, students can experience the thrill of bargaining, discover traditional Turkish souvenirs, and walk through alleys filled with the scent of spices, saffron, and fresh Turkish delights.
Next, we embark on a Bosphorus Cruise, gliding between Europe and Asia. Along the strait, the silhouettes of Ottoman palaces, imperial mosques, and modern bridges tell the story of a city that has always lived between two worlds.
Our journey continues with a guided tour of the Dolmabahçe Palace, the last seat of the Ottoman sultans, blending Islamic traditions with European elegance. Students will admire its crystal chandeliers, marble staircases, and opulent halls where history changed course.
Finally, we stroll along Istiklal Street and Taksim Square, the heart of modern Istanbul. Cafés, bookstores, and shops line this lively avenue, giving students a taste of today’s Istanbul culture.
After the tour, we will transfer you back to your hotel. Overnight in Istanbul
