Begin the journey with a morning drive at 09:00 from Tbilisi toward Kazbegi (Stepantsminda) via the scenic Georgian Military Highway.
Stop at the historic Ananuri Fortress, overlooking the beautiful Zhinvali Reservoir, before continuing through Kobi village toward Truso Valley.
Truso Valley Trek
Start a warm-up hike through the stunning Truso Valley, famous for:
Mineral springs
Travertine formations
Abano bubbling lake
Abandoned villages
Reach the ruins of Zakagori Fortress, located near the Georgian border.
Gergeti Trinity Church Hike
After the valley hike, drive to Stepantsminda and check in at the hotel.
In the afternoon take a short trek to the iconic Gergeti Trinity Church, one of the most famous landmarks in Georgia, located at the foot of Mount Kazbegi.
Overnight in Kazbegi (Stepantsminda).

Driving time: approx. 30 minutes
Hiking Route
Gergeti Glacier hike: 8 km | elevation gain 775 m
After breakfast, drive up to the Gergeti campsite near Trinity Church.
Begin a hike toward Mount Kazbegi and Gergeti Glacier, passing alpine landscapes and dramatic mountain views.
Reach Sabertse Pass (3,100 m), where you will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Caucasus Mountains and nearby glacier.
Continue to Altihut Alpine Basecamp (3,014 m) where you can relax with hot tea or lunch (optional, not included).
Return hike to Stepantsminda.
Overnight in Kazbegi.

Juta Lake hike:
10 km roundtrip | elevation gain 572 m
Early morning drive through Sno Valley to the high mountain village of Juta (2,250 m), one of the highest settlements in Georgia.
Start a scenic hike toward Chaukhi Mountains, often called the “Dolomites of Georgia.”Reach the beautiful Juta alpine lake located beneath the dramatic Chaukhi peaks.
After enjoying the stunning views and mountain scenery, return to Juta village and drive back to Tbilisi.
